Ansel Adams was an American photographer who took photos mostly of the West.At the age of 19, Adams produced his first photograph. Although he shot mainly in black and white, he also worked with color. He used a large format camera and he developed the zone system, which I've personally used. He was a huge advocate for wilderness preservation.
His black and white photography helped to establish photography as a fine art.
